Irresistible Chicken Casserole Delight


6 ounces stuffing mix (approximately 3-4 cups of dry stuffing)
1 1/4 cups hot water
1/2 tablespoon butter (optional, melted)
1/2 cup cooked, shredded or cubed chicken breasts or thighs
1/2 cup sour cream
10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup (1 can of condensed soup)
1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon pepper (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C) and grease a 9×13-inch skillet or casserole dish.
In a bowl, combine the stuffing mix with 1 1/4 cups of hot water. If desired, add the optional melted butter. Set aside.
In the prepared baking dish, add the cooked chicken, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, mixed greens, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until well combined.
Spread the prepared stuffing mixture evenly over the top of the chicken mixture, distributing it around the edges.
Bake in the preheated oven at 400°F (205°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling around the edges.
Once done, remove from the oven and serve immediately.
