Peanut Butter Sheet Cake with Peanut Butter Frosting
Ingredients:
For the Cake:
1 box yellow cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 cup softened butter
1 cup water
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
For the Frosting:
3 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup softened butter
2+ tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat Oven:
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and set aside.
Prepare the Cake:
In a large mixing bowl, using an electric mixer, cream together the softened butter and peanut butter until well combined.
Add the eggs, cake mix, and water to the bowl. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until the batter is smooth and well incorporated.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.
Prepare the Frosting:
In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and peanut butter until smooth.
Gradually add the confectioners’ sugar and mix until fully combined.
Add the vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of milk. Continue to mix until the frosting is light and fluffy. If the frosting is too thick, add more milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.
Frost the Cake:
Once the cake is completely cool, spread the frosting evenly over the top.
Slice, serve, and enjoy!
This peanut butter sheet cake is perfect for any occasion, delivering rich peanut butter flavor in both the moist cake and creamy frosting.
