Ingredients
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 cups brown sugar, packed
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
4 large eggs, room temperature
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups pecans, chopped
confectioners’ sugar, to taste, for topping
Directions
Step 1 –
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –
Pour the melted butter into a 13×9-inch baking pan.
Step 3 –
In a large bowl, add the brown sugar, the flour, the eggs, the vanilla, the baking soda, and the salt and stir until well-combined.
Step 4 –
Add the pecans to the brown sugar mixture and stir to combine.
Step 5 –
Spread the pecan mixture over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Step 6 –
Bake the pecan pie bars, about 30-35 minutes.
Step 7 –
Transfer the pecan pie bars from the oven and immediately dust them with the confectioners’ sugar.
Step 8 –
Let the pecan pie bars cool completely, about 1-2 hours.
Step 9 –
Cut into bars and serve.
