Marry Me Chicken Pasta Recipe
Ingredients
For the Chicken:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound fettuccine or penne pasta

For the Sauce:

3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:

Season chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat
Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through
Remove chicken from pan and set aside

Cook the Pasta:

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil
Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente
Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining

Make the Sauce:

In the same skillet used for chicken, add butter and minced garlic
Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute
Add chicken broth and scrape up any brown bits from bottom of pan
Pour in heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes
Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened
Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth

Combine:

Slice chicken breasts into strips
Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat
If needed, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency
Return sliced chicken to the pan and gently toss to combine
Garnish with fresh basil leaves and additional Parmesan if desired

Recipe Notes

For extra flavor, use sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil
The sauce can be made spicier by adding more red pepper flakes
Fresh garlic is preferred, but garlic powder can be substituted if needed
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
