homemade cinnamon apple cake

Cinnamon and apple have a nice little friendship, don’t they? They lift each other up as only real friends do. And although they’re completely different when they’re apart, together they form an entity of their own flavor: apple-cinnamon. Just saying the word reminds one of the combinations of warm, cozy spice and soft, sweet apples. And this combination (with little chopped walnuts for a little crunch) is just the pair to flavor a simple everyday cake like this one.

This cake is so moist and forms a crumb topping with it’s wonderful cinnamon flavor. We chop up our apples pretty well so there are not huge apple chunks, but you can adjust to your liking. The classic combo of sweetness, spice and everything nice!

I remember my Grandma making this delicious cinnamon apple cake when I was a little girl. The combination of cinnamon, apple, and walnuts is perfection. This is an old fashioned recipe that is loved by everyone and very easy to make.
