Creamy Bacon Pasta Recipe
Ingredients
• 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
• 6-7 strips bacon, chopped
• 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 1½ cups heavy cream
• ½ cup pasta cooking water
• ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 2 Tbsp butter
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Prepare Pasta
• Cook pasta in salted water until al dente
• Reserve 1½ cups pasta cooking water
• Drain pasta, set aside
2. Cook Bacon
• In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat
• Cook until crispy, about 4-5 minutes
• Remove bacon with slotted spoon, keep bacon grease in pan
3. Make Sauce
• Reduce heat to medium
• Add butter and onions to bacon grease
• Sauté onions for 3-4 minutes
• Add minced garlic, cook for 1-2 minutes
• Pour in heavy cream
• Add Parmesan cheese
• Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened
4. Combine
• Add cooked pasta to sauce
• Toss to coat, adding pasta water if needed
• Stir in crispy bacon pieces
• Season with salt and pepper
• Garnish with fresh parsley
