Ingredients

For the Filling:

•8 oz cream cheese, softened

•6 oz crab meat (fresh, canned, or imitation)

•2 green onions, finely chopped

•1 tsp soy sauce

•½ tsp garlic powder

•½ tsp onion powder

•½ tsp Worcestershire sauce

•½ tsp sugar

For the Wontons:

•20 wonton wrappers

•1 egg, beaten (for sealing)

•Oil for frying

For Serving (Optional):

•Sweet chili sauce

•Soy sauce

•Duck sauce

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Filling – In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, crab meat, green onions, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar. Mix until smooth.

2️⃣ Fill the Wontons – Place 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Brush the edges with beaten egg, then fold into a triangle or pinch the corners together to form a classic Rangoon shape.

3️⃣ Seal & Chill – Press the edges tightly to seal. Let the wontons rest for 10 minutes before frying to prevent leaks.

4️⃣ Fry Until Golden – Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry wontons in small batches for 2-3 minutes, flipping once, until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy – Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce!

Storage Options

Refrigerator: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to keep them crispy.

Freezer: Freeze uncooked wontons in a single layer for up to 2 months. Fry from frozen or bake at 375°F for 12-15 minutes.

Notes

✔️ For a lighter option, bake at 375°F for 12-15 minutes or air fry at 375°F for 8 minutes.

✔️ Use real crab for the best flavor, but imitation crab works too!

✔️ Don’t overfill the wontons to prevent them from bursting during frying.
