Crab Balls – Don’t LOSE this Recipe! 😋
Ingredients:
• 1 lb (450g) lump crab meat
• 1 cup breadcrumbs
• 1/4 cup mayonnaise
• 1 large egg, beaten
• 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Prepare Crab Meat:
• Carefully pick through crab meat to remove any shell pieces
• Place in a large mixing bowl
• Be gentle to keep meat in large chunks
2. Mix Ingredients:
• Add breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg
• Add Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce
• Add lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning
• Gently fold ingredients together
• Season with salt and pepper
3. Form Crab Balls:
• Using hands, gently form mixture into 1-inch balls
• Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet
• Refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up
4. Fry Crab Balls:
• Heat vegetable oil to 375°F in deep fryer or heavy pot
• Carefully fry balls in batches
• Cook 2-3 minutes until golden brown
• Drain on paper towels
Serving Suggestions:
• Serve with remoulade sauce
• Lemon wedges
