Ingredients

• 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 large egg
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Cream the Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy. Add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until well combined. Mix in the vanilla extract and egg until fully incorporated.
3. Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. The dough will be thick and sticky.
4. Shape the Cookies
Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form balls of dough about 1 inch in diameter. Roll each ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
5. Bake
Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers remain soft.
6. Cool and Serve
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with additional powdered sugar before serving.
