For the Shortbread Crust:

•2 cups all-purpose flour

•1 cup unsalted butter, softened

•½ cup brown sugar

For the Caramel Pecan Layer:

•1 cup unsalted butter

•1 cup brown sugar, packed

•¼ cup honey or corn syrup

•2 tbsp heavy cream

•2 cups chopped pecans

For the Chocolate Topping:

•1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

•1 tsp vegetable oil (for smooth melting)

Instructions

1.Preheat & Prepare – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2.Make the Crust – In a bowl, mix flour, butter, and brown sugar until crumbly. Press into the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden.

3. Prepare the Caramel Pecan Layer – In a saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, honey (or corn syrup), and heavy cream over medium heat. Stir constantly until smooth. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, then stir in pecans.

4.Assemble & Bake – Pour the caramel pecan mixture over the baked crust and spread evenly. Bake for 15 minutes, then let cool.

5.Add the Chocolate – Melt chocolate chips with vegetable oil, then drizzle or spread over the cooled bars.

6.Cool & Serve – Let the bars set completely, then cut into squares. Enjoy the gooey, crunchy, and chocolatey goodness!

Would you like a variation with sea salt or extra caramel? 😊🍫
