Banana Bread Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup mashed bananas (about 2 medium bananas)
1/2 cup sour cream
1 stick butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
Optional: 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips, 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Prepare Dry Ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Mix Banana Mixture:
In another bowl, combine mashed bananas and sour cream until well blended.
Cream Butter and Sugars:
Beat together butter, sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat until combined.
Incorporate Dry Ingredients:
Gradually mix in the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully incorporated.
Fold in Banana Mixture:
Fold in the banana mixture into the cookie dough until evenly distributed.
Add Optional Ingredients:
If desired, stir in mini chocolate chips and chopped walnuts for added texture and flavor.
Form Cookie Dough:
Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie for spreading.
Bake to Perfection:
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown around the edges. Let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
